Saanen, Gstaad, Switzerland
Bicha Residences is a new development of just 18 turn-key apartments in the charming town of Saanen, just a stone’s throw from the famous resort of Gstaad in Switzerland.
The Bicha Residences will comprise three chalets connected by underground garages. There are one to three bedrooms options plus five shops shared among the chalets. This ambitious project will be built with modern and environmentally friendly materials to provide perfect and comfortable living.
This luxury development, to be completed in 2018, is uniquely exempt from second home ownership restrictions (Lex Weber law) and foreign ownership restrictions (Lex Koller law). It is probably the last development in the Gstaad region that is permitted to sell new build apartments as second homes to foreign buyers, making this a solid long term investment.
Over recent years, Gstaad has developed into one of the most sought after destinations in the Alps. With its luxury hotels, starred restaurants, sumptuous chalets and nearby Saanen private airport, it is frequented by the international elite.
Communications to Gstaad are excellent. Sion airport is 28km, Lausanne airport is 48km, Bern airport is 53km and Geneva airport is 92km.

The neighbouring village of Saanen helps complete Gstaad’s attractiveness, with its narrow streets in its historic heart. “Gstaad Mountain Rides” is the skiing and hiking area of Gstaad – with 220km of pistes and 53 lifts, it is accessible from different villages in the region.
The holiday region of Gstaad in the Bernese Oberland has managed to win the loyalty, over the years, of a clientele who visit in winter and summer, thanks to its typically Swiss charm and its high-quality infrastructure. The region hosts an interesting mix of visitors: while many stars and celebrities gather in the chalet village of Gstaad, the smaller neighbouring villages like Saanen also offer amenities to suit families.
Activities
Winter
220km of pistes at nearly 3000m above sea level await skiers and snowboarders in winter. Several snowparks and numerous toboggan runs as well as 165km of classic cross-country ski tracks are available. For hikers, there are about 200km of winter hiking trails. Among the extraordinary activities on offer at the site, there is the “Eisstock” (a typical sport similar to curling) in the centre of Gstaad, glacier skiing and heliskiing.
Summer
The vast and extensive landscape offers a versatile and diverse range of sports such as hiking (a network of over 300 km of trails), mountain bike rides, paragliding, kayaking and golf, not to mention the nature reserve of Lake Lauenen, which is an ideal destination for families.
