A unique six bedroom cave house built into the rocks, fully harmonised with its wild surroundings, in Mylopotas on the Greek island of Ios in the Aegean Sea.
The property is divided into two independent single level villas totalling 538 sqm. The main villa has four en-suite bedrooms, a guest WC, an open plan kitchen and a spacious living area. There is a long infinity swimming pool, ideal for practicing lengths, BBQ and superb sea views.
The house is made of stone creating the impression that it emerges from the land. Its earthy colours are designed to match the surroundings. The residence has an eco-friendly character with its green roofs that improve the insulation, energy saving glass panels and natural ventilation.
The second villa, with adjoining garage, can be used for staff or additional guests. It has two bedrooms with a shared bathroom, a guest WC, kitchen and living room.
Mylopotas is on the western coast of Ios, a hilly Greek island in the Cyclades group with cliffs down to the sea on most sides, situated halfway between Naxos and Santorini. Athens is six hours by boat.
